Grammy-award winning producer takes on Brit superstar

Mark Ronson is apparently set to produce Elton John's next album, according to reports.

The record album will appear on the Universal/Republic label run by Universal Music's Monte Lippman, says Fox News. It's due out in late 2009.

Meanwhile, as previously reported, Ronson is working with Amy Winehouse on a forthcoming tribute album for legendary producer Quincy Jones.

The pair are working on a cover of Lesley Gore's 1964 hit 'You Don't Own Me' for the project

Ronson has also been linked to Slash’s forthcoming solo record, for which the former Guns N' Roses guitarist has already demoed 14 songs.

Super-producer Ronson recently completed The Rumble Strips' second album at his New York City studio. The record is due out in spring next year.
