Former Smiths man set to play songs that inspired him

Morrissey is to present a one-off radio show for US station KCRW next week.

The show, which has been pre-recorded, airs on the Morning Becomes Eclectic programme on August 29. It will be available to listen to on Kcrw.com.

While most bands appearing on the show choose to perform a short studio set, Morrissey has limited his appearance to chatting only.

Artists who are apparently set appear in the former The Smiths singer's playlist include The Courteeners, Sparks, the Buzzcocks and Noël Coward.
