Rapper wants Noel Gallagher for new project

Dizzee Rascal has said he wants to work with Noel Gallagher – despite the Oasis guitarist's opposition to Jay-Z playing Glastonbury this year

Speaking to BBC Radio 1, the British rapper said he did not believe Gallagher was against hip-hop.

"I don't think he hates hip-hop. Maybe he just felt a way about Jay-Z being at Glastonbury or hip-hop being at Glastonbury. He's into music," said Dizzee Rascal. "There must be some hip-hop over the years that he must've liked, or Liam. They're party animals, so somewhere they must've enjoyed some hip-hop track."

Dizzee, who collaborated with Arctic Monkeys on the track 'Temptation Greets You Like A Naughty Friend' in 2007, added that he was now keen to combine his and the main Oasis songwriter's talents.

"Yeah [I'd still like to work with Noel]. That's another thing to me like working with the Arctic Monkeys," he said. "Obviously they're [Oasis] older and they set their bar from earlier."

I f Noel Gallgher agreed to work with dizzee rascal, maybe this would stop people hating on him so much. I mean Noel has just got so much bad publicity with glastonbury and the stage incident in canada. This might tame him and give more credibility. I mean if he gives hip-hop a chance he might even like it. He might even admit he was wrong about hip-hop.

i don't think noel ever meant that he disliked hip-hop. i think he meant that glastonbury was a hippy festival for people who don't like hip-hop and he was trying to save jay-z from going. glastonbury is full of the scourge of society. dirty hippys pishing themselves and wallowing in the mud like pigs. i know what noel meant. jay-z still doesn't seem like a galstonbury headliner to me. it's like asking Oasis to do Donnington. Fuck all Y'all!

Erm, when did he actually say he didn't like hip hop as crap as it is? All he said is that it's not right for glasto, which it isn't and certainly not Jay-Z! He isn't even that big over here...On the main point...it could be intresting

Noel has expressed his respect for public enemy in the past so i dont think he's got a problem with hip hop. He just likes gobbing off from time to time (dont we all?)
