Arrests for thefts and drugs offences at Reading Festival

Police say there have been 101 offences reported

Police have said that there have been 101 offences reported to them at the Reading Festival so far this weekend (as of August 23).
Thames Valley Police say that the majority of offences, which total 57, have been thefts from people or tents.
Police have made 25 arrests on the site so far. Nine have been for theft, seven for possession of class A, B or C drugs with intent to supply, while six people have been arrested for possession of class A or B drugs.
There has been one arrest for a public order offence, one for common assault and one person was arrested under section 136 - an emergency detention certificate - of the Mental Health Act.
