The Subways swamped by smoke on Pyramid Stage

The Subways played an energetic early afternoon set on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury today (June 27).

Lead singer Billy Lunn shouted out to the crowd throughout the show to get them into the festival mood.

After opening with 'Kalifornia', the band got swamped by smoke for third track 'Oh Yeah'.

Lunn exclaimed: "Who the fuck has got the smoke machine on? Turn it off - I want to see the audience."

Towards the end of the song, an obviously excited Lunn said to the bouncing crowd: "You guys are making this the best ever Glastonbury – you're amazing!"

The band ended their set with 'Rock 'N' Roll Queen', which saw Lunn running off the stage to the front of the crowd.
