'It's gonna come out early next year' band say

The View have told NME.COM that their new album will be released "early next year".

Speaking in a video interview at V Festival, bassist Kieren Webster said that the band expected the album would surprise a lot of people.

"We've got some strings on it and some keys on it in places," he explained. "It's totally different from the first album, but it's good.

"There's some strange topics of songs, a lot better than your usual [themes of] love/hate. 'Glass Smash' is about a couple throwing glasses at each other after a night out."

Webster also confirmed that Owen Morris, who produced 2007's 'Hats Off To The Buskers', worked on the new album too.
